Best Dressed at the 2022 MET Gala

Here is our list of the best dressed celebrities at the 2022 Met Gala from the female perspective, Jessica Murphy, as well as the straight male view, Warren D. Robinson. Enjoy!

Alicia Keys

Warren: This dress is the epitome of a MET Gala dress. Luxurious, dramatic and unique it checks all the boxes. I love how she has the New York City skyline in crystals, sewn into her cape. The emerald earrings also add a very nice pop of color.

Jessica: I love how She puts on for her city! Way to bring that New York energy to the ball! I love it! I love them (her and husband Swiss Beats who also brought his own NY Swag).

Normani

Warren: This was definitely a risk, Met gala looks are suppose to be dramatic but not done right they can cross the line into comical. Normani, totes the line and looks amazing in this dramatic black two piece outfit. Breaking the gown up avoids it swallowing her small frame and she gets extra points for that lean midriff alone.

Jessica: OKAY! I love this! I love the skirt mostly! That swirl is cute and those abs are sexy! Nice job Normani!

Anitta

Warren: The Brazilian singer looked regal and divine in a deep blue (or maybe purple?) gown. No matter which color you see it was unique on the carpet which helped it to stand out. The pearls, add an elegant touch in line with the gilded age theme. I don't even mind the bustles on the sides, here they add a dramatic appropriate flare to the dress.

Jessica: Beautiful dress. The pearls are a great compliment to the color. I love it.

Megan The Stallion

Warren: I am getting Vanessa Bell Calloway in Coming to America vibes with this look, and I love it. (Full disclosure that is one of my favorite movies). I like the feather shaped jacket, the beading, the mesh cutouts and all fit body like a glove.

Jessica: YES MEG! I’m loving seeing Meg in outfits other than her thongs! I like those looks too but she’s a baddie with clothes on too! Shine Queen! I can see the Coming to America reference.

Jasmine Tookes

Warren: This is another very unique color nobody else was sporting on the red carpet and it was radiant on her. There was perhaps no better dress that exemplified the Gilded Age theme more than this gown and her statement emerald necklace. My favorite look of the night.

Jessica: This dress is very classy! I love this color! Definitely not best dressed because…the gloves are ugly. They gotta go.

Khloe Kardashian

Warren: I can't believe this was Khloe's first MET Gala but apparently it was and she didn't come to play. She looks like a golden goddess in this sparkly number and her black cape adds a nice flare while breaking up what would be a cute but otherwise boring monochromatic look.

Jessica: For a Kardashian, I would expect more. I’m not sold on this look, not terrible just Basic.

Kerry Washington

Warren: Black was the color of the night but Kerry's large diamond necklace and fierce body made this lacy number stand out from the rest. It is sexy yet sophisticated.

Jessica: Here’s to another winner!! KERRY!! I love when she takes risks and shows a little something! This sheer gown is hitting in all the right ways! And she’s drop dead gorgeous!

Sabrina Carpenter

Warren: It seems all the young women got the same memo, lets show off our incredibly flat mid-drifts. Some had more success than others, like Sabrina who looks like a golden goddess in this massive two piece look. I love the diamonds, it takes this from prom to pure class.

Jessica: This is HOT! The train is serving major life! And again, I’m a sucker for golds!

Vanessa Hudgens

Warren: Wow, talk about sexy. This see through number certainly fits the bill, she looks amazing. I'm sure I am suppose to say something about the dress but I'm so distracted by her that I have nothing more to say.

Jessica: Vanessa is giving me much joy with this sheer, seductive gown! That fierce beat only makes It even hotter! Killed it my girl!

Janelle Monae

Warren: Wearing her signature aesthetic but in crystal Monae looks good in this slinky bejeweled number. I don't even mind the matching headpiece, it complements the look.

Jessica: I am enthralled with Janelle’s beauty and I say she brought that beautiful energy to the Met.

Eiza Gonzalez

Warren: This is white hot! (see what I did there). I appreciate the sparkles and the feathers a lot of detail went into this dress. She looks like a Star!

Jessica: It’s the deep plunging neck line! I’m a sucker for a deep V!

Blake Lively

Warren: This is perhaps the first time I ever saw a costume change live on the red carpet. She arrived in this copper colored gown before pulling it away and revealing a sea foam green colored gown. This was all a homage to the Statue of Liberty. Nice!!!!

Jessica: It’s the unfolding!! If I were an emoji I’d be the red heart eyes one! That blue makes that rose gold SHIMMER! You served sis!
